We offer a broad range of helicopter services from scenic flights and heli-safaris to filming and photography, mineral exploration support and search and rescue. Our focus is on maintaining the highest standard of aviation service and safety and a visible reputation for excellent customer care.

Our team has an extensive background working with rotary wing aircraft. We specialise in remote area services covering many of the inaccessible areas of Central Australia.

We employ qualified, locally based pilots with a passion for professionalism and flying in the unrestricted Australian Outback skies.

Based out at the Alice Springs Airport, we also conduct scenic flights from the heli pad at Crown Plaza Lasseters located in Alice Springs township.

Our Story

Alice Springs Helicopters, the leading provider of commercial helicopter services in Central Australia, is based at Alice Springs Airport. Commercial operations were established in 1992 with the company now operating seven helicopters and a maintenance facility.

James Griffiths and Warwick Curr purchased Alice Springs Helicopters in early 2011, bringing new aircraft and expertise to an already thriving business. Since moving in they have expanded the operation to Robinson R44’s and R22’s along with adding pastoral operations and a maintenance approval. By uniting flying and maintenance Alice Springs Helicopters offers a full package giving your business the aviation edge.

Warwick Curr

Managing Director and Engineer

Warwick is a qualified and licensed engineer for all models of aircraft that the business operates. His 35 years of experience in the industry means that the job is done correctly the first time and you can rely on the service he provides. He has managed the maintenance of companies with up to 45 aircraft along with the training of numerous engineers.

James Griffiths

Director and Chief Pilot

James is a born and bred local who calls Central Australia his ‘back yard’. He grew up around helicopters, taking to the sky when he was very young. His passion shows in his dedication to his flying and his role as Chief Pilot.
