Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase from ARAFURA HELICOPTERS Pty Ltd trading as Alice Springs Helicopters ABN 19 071 259 606 of the named products. By placing a booking with Alice Springs Helicopters, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to accept the Terms and Conditions.

‘We’, ‘Us, ‘Our’ is Alice Springs Helicopters. ‘You’, ‘Your’ is the person who made the booking or the group who is part of the booking.

 

Product Information

Conduct of flights is subject to pilot discretion, weather conditions, and availability. All flight times are approximate and may vary according to helicopter type, number of passengers and/or weather conditions.  Routes may be flown in reverse or altered due to other aircraft in the vicinity or instructions by air traffic control. Pilot commentary on all flights. All flights are covered by Public Liablity Insurance.

 

Cancellation Policies and Fees

If you cancel your booking at short notice it will incur a cancellation fee. Below are the cancellation fee rates. % based on your booking fee

  • Between 48 and 24 hours notice; 50% cancellation fee

  • Less and 24 hours notice; 100% cancellation fee

 

Passenger and Luggage Weights

Due to aircraft weight limitations, passenger weights are required before your booking can be confirmed. Following Civil Aviation Safety Authority CAAP 235-1 all passengers are required to provide full name, accurate weights, and baggage details prior to flight. Personal information (i.e., information which is collected and identifiable as relating to you personally) collected will be kept secure according to our privacy policy.

 

Privacy Policy

Alice Springs Helicopters will not disclose (share, sell or divulge) any personal information (address, e-mail, telephone and mobile numbers) to third parties unless we have been authorised by you or are required to do so by law. Alice Springs Helicopters will keep this information in accordance with our strict confidentiality standards.

Minimum Passenger Numbers

Alice Springs Helicopters requires a minimum of 2 passengers/paid seats for a booking. We can carry up to 4 passengers which is subject to aircraft availability.

 

Carriage of Children

There is no age limitations for carrying children. One infant under the age of 3 may travel free of charge per flight if seated on parent/guardian’s lap, please advise at time of booking.  Children aged 3 or more pay the full adult fare as they occupy a seat.

 

Carriage of Disabled Passengers

We carry disabled passengers and disabled parking is available at the hangar at the airport. Disabled passengers must be able to board and disembark a helicopter with limited assistance and understand the safety briefing. Special Assistance needs must be advised at time of booking.

 

Courtesy transfers to/from accommodation

All scenic flights include free transfers to and from your accommodation or alternatively Alice Springs Airport in conjunction with domestic airline flight arrival or departure times. Pick-up times and location need to be advised at the time of booking. Free transfers for customers with bikes are not offered for the heli-mountain biking. Please note that we do not offer a courtesy transfer for flights before 0800.

 

Pricing

All product prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST. Any purchase you make will be charged in Australian dollars and you are liable for any currency conversion fees charged by your credit card provider and additional charges for credit and payment charges incurred by Alice Springs Helicopters.

 

Heli-mountain biking

The heli-mountain biking flight is NOT a mountain biking tour. The flight is a transfer of you and your mountain bikes to the selected landing sites only. Once the transfer of the riders and their bikes is complete at the desired landing site Alice Springs Helicopters responsibility is discharged. All rider/s ride at their own risk. Mountain biking is dangerous and can result in serious injury, permanent injury or death. Alice Springs Helicopters and their employees cannot be held responsible for any injury caused to you, or by you to others, resulting from your control of a bicycle and conduct on the trail. The rider/s will be responsible to Alice Springs Helicopters and NT Parks & Wildlife for reimbursement of any costs arising of their conduct (e.g search & rescue, damage to land). The rider/s must not interfere with sacred sites.

 

Advice by Alice Springs Helicopters is for information purpose only. It is the rider/s responsibility to be suitability prepared by carrying sufficient water, maps and first aid supplies and by understanding your individual limits as a rider. Any additional fixtures e.g. spare tubes, water bottles, will have to be removed from your bike prior to flying (they can be reattached after the flight if necessary).

 

Limited liability and indemnity

Although all care is taken, Alice Springs Helicopters accepts no responsibility for any loss of or damage to the property of the participant, including belongings, luggage, mountain bikes or personal injury due to events beyond our control and will not be liable for additional expenses.

You agree to assume all risks associated whatsoever of or in connection with our services and the activity you are undertaking, including risks of third-party damage to persons or property and risks of liability towards persons who or whose property may be affected by your activity.

 

You agree to indemnify Alice Springs Helicopters for any loss or damage that it may suffer or for any costs it may incur in connection with any breach by you of these Terms & Conditions.
